ABOUT MACTON CORPORATION
Macton Corporation has been engineering, fabricating and installing high quality moving structures for six decades, from 140-foot diameter turntables and 75 ton lifts, to 95-ton people movers and 55-ton transporters. Just as significantly, some of our original turntable installations have been in continuous, trouble–free operation since the early 1950’s.
Macton’s early work included a revolving stage at the Jones Beach Marina, a favorite venue of the Guy Lombardo Orchestra. A variety of projects followed, including an installation for the 1964 world’s fair, subsequently relocated to Disney World. Since those early years, we have worked on thousands of installations in dozens of countries throughout the world.
Macton’s offices and manufacturing facilities have remained in Connecticut during its entire history. When it relocated to Oxford, Connecticut in 1999, it was followed by the purchase of the transportation equipment product lines of two well-known companies, Joyce-Dayton Corporation (acquired in February of 1999) and A.T. Moeller Corporation (acquired in March of 2000). These acquisitions provided Macton with a complete line of lifting and accessory equipment for the maintenance and servicing of transit cars and locomotives, as well as a full line of railway sanding equipment.
ISO Certification – Macton sought ISO certification as part of its ongoing efforts at continuous improvement in its product quality and ongoing operations and as a result is now ISO 9001:2015 certified. You can view our certification here.
UL & CSA Certifications – All of Macton’s electrical panels meet the applicable UL 508A (Industrial Control Equipment) standards (as well as CAN/CSA 22.2 No. 14 standards), and are labeled to show that they have been certified by TUV Rheinland as meeting those standards (certificate # 0000019219). You can view the TUV certificate here.
Macton Corporation is currently owned by the members of its senior management team, which allows Macton to focus on continuing to serve the long-term needs of its customers (rather than the short-term financial goals of a corporate parent or distant owner). We remain committed to providing our customers with the same level of innovative engineering, high-quality manufacturing and strong ongoing support that has set us apart from other companies throughout our company’s long history.
