At Macton, “Engineered and Built to Last” is our guiding philosophy. While many “cutting edge” companies pride themselves in thinking 5 or 10 years ahead, at Macton our commitment to durability requires our staff to think several decades into the future.

MANUFACTURING

Applying Innovation – Every year, Macton designs many new “firsts” in capacity, size, performance and control systems, delivering a fully-tested and well-thought-out product, not just a concept.

Engineering Design – Our AutoCAD and SolidWorks design capabilities allow us to model quickly, utilize our library of applications and subassemblies, and perform structural and dynamic analysis in virtual space. With a talented team of engineers and designers who combine creativity with a firm grounding in reality, our value to the customer is firmly established.

Manufacturing – All Macton products are fully fabricated, machined, assembled and tested in our U.S. manufacturing plant in Connecticut, with no first-time assembly or testing work being done in the field. In addition, all of our welders are AWS D1.1 qualified, with all welds checked by AWS certified welding inspectors. All of the parts we machine in-house on our CNC precision machining equipment, and all of the other steps in our manufacturing process, are controlled by our ISO 9001:2008 certified quality system. Unlike some companies who are really buying foreign-made equipment from a Chinese or other overseas manufacturer and then doing the final assembly of the equipment in the U.S., all of our products are fully manufactured in the U.S., from the time we get in the raw steel in at our facility to the point in time when we are ready to ship the equipment out – this way we can ensure that all of our products are in fact quality-made products (something you can’t do if you are relying on overseas suppliers to build most of the equipment).

Testing – All Macton products are tested extensively at our facility before shipping. This pre-shipment testing is an important part in eliminating any unpleasant surprises at the job site and helps set Macton apart from most other suppliers in the industry.

Disassembly, Preparation and Shipping – After testing, Macton products are carefully match marked, disassembled and packed for shipping. Parts arrive at the job site in a logical, orderly manner, eliminating guesswork and last-minute invention.

Installation – A key part of our overall service, a Macton field engineer or technician is on site when your equipment is being installed and commissioned, so that they can personally supervise the installation of this equipment to ensure it is installed and operating properly.

Service and Support – The same exacting work that goes into quality installations also applies to parts and service over the extremely long life of Macton products. Our customer service department is committed to not only ensuring that downtime is minimized or eliminated, but also with providing the latest advances in appropriate product upgrades to all installations.

TURNTABLES

Macton designs and builds structural solutions that perform for the life of the entire facility and provide numerous benefits. Our products are installed on a worldwide basis and have proven performance and low long-term operational costs.

The equipment includes a wide range of products which can entertain, reconfigure space, and make your facility more productive. Solutions may include Turntable Systems, Lift Systems and Custom-Engineered Moving Structures. We provide in-depth experience, proven innovation and original design capability. We will work with your project team to translate user needs into mechanical solutions.

All Macton products are manufactured, assembled and tested at our U.S. facility. As a result, on-site activity is reduced to a re-assembly process, optimizing installation schedules and resources.

  • Long-Term Reliability – Macton has been providing architectural solutions for decades. Many of our early installations have been in continuous operation for over 40 years and continue to serve the facility in which they are installed.
  • Full Support Throughout Project – Macton provides full support throughout the entire project, beginning with the initial design of the system to be built, during which time Macton’s engineering staff interfaces with the project’s engineers and other professionals to provide the practical assistance and the detailed technical support needed to integrate its equipment into the overall installation.
  • Ease of Equipment Installation – Macton provides a specially-trained field engineer or technician to supervise the installation, start-up and commissioning of its equipment, ensuring that it is brought on-line quickly and delivers the expected performance.
  • Ongoing Post-Sale Support – Macton also provides long-term spare parts and technical support services. Long-term service contracts are also available at each of these installations for periodic inspection and maintenance programs, as well as training services, as needed.
  • Standard 5 Year Warranty – The equipment is warranted to be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date it’s shipped from Macton’s facility. Accordingly, during such 5-year period, Macton will repair or replace any such defective parts or equipment at Macton’s cost (including covering all shipping costs). If required to trouble-shoot such equipment, Macton will provide the services of an onsite field service engineer, and if any such defects are found to exist, Macton will pay the labor and travel costs of such field service engineer. This warranty is void if the equipment is installed without supervision by a Macton representative. This warranty does not cover: (i) damage due to flooding, improper drainage or chemical corrosion, or from dirt or debris on or around the equipment, (ii) any damage caused by improper use or accident, or from the failure to perform the recommended periodic maintenance on the equipment, (iii) normal wear and tear, (iv) portions of the equipment repaired or modified by others without Macton’s prior written approval, or (v) any additional onsite labor, tools or equipment required for the inspection, removal and reinstallation of any parts of the equipment.

INDUSTRIAL

Macton has developed a special expertise in a number of different industrial and testing areas, ranging from building conveying equipment for paper mills, manufacturing assembly plants and rail vehicle manufacturing facilities, to building various testing equipment used for military and industrial applications. This equipment is typically custom-designed by Macton’s engineering staff to meet the unique needs of its customers, and is built to enhance the operational efficiency and accuracy of each of those customer applications. Macton’s engineers are available to assist project consultants and internal engineering staff in designing the special equipment and facilities needed for these unique projects, from the early stages of these projects up through the actual installation of the equipment.

  • Speeding Up Testing Process – The control equipment on these systems can be easily automated to minimize the handling time required for moving items efficiently through the testing process.

  • Decrease in Operating Costs – The automation of these systems reduces the manpower requirements that would otherwise be needed for these testing operations.

  • Long-Term Reliability – All of these systems are pre-assembled and tested in our manufacturing facility to ensure that all performance criteria have been met before they are shipped out to our customers. In addition, there is a special focus in the design, engineering and fabrication of these systems to ensure that they continue to run smoothly and reliably day in and day out for the years and decades to come – this has been proven out in the dozens of factory systems we have shipped out over the years.

  • Full Support Throughout Project – Macton provides full support throughout the entire project, beginning with the initial design of the system to be built, during which time Macton’s engineering staff interfaces with the manufacturer’s engineers and other professionals to provide the practical assistance and the detailed technical support needed to integrate its equipment into the overall facility.
