Lecture Hall Turntables

Macton turntables divide a lecture hall stage up into two portions, with a sound-proof center wall in the middle, whereby this stage can be rotated at any time as needed to allow you to display one of the sides of the stage. As a result, you can double the usefulness of lecture halls by allowing setup and cleanup to occur on one side of a divided stage while a presentation (such as a class lecture or lab experiment) proceeds on the other side of the divided stage. In particular, at the end of a particular lecture or presentation you can rotate the turntable 180 degrees and start using the other side of the stage, which at that time would be set up with different materials – you then can cleanup the side just finished and can then set it up for another presentation while the other presentation is taking place on the other side of the stage – you can repeat this process as many times as may be needed throughout the day. Currently there are over 30 colleges and universities with lecture halls equipped with Macton turntables. See the list below for a listing of some of the schools that have chosen to go with one of Macton’s lecture hall stage turntables.

  • Increased Usage of Lecture Hall Facilities – These rotating stages provide more flexible use and greater utilization at the lecture hall in question by allowing for quick changeovers in presentations being given at these lecture halls – just rotate the stage when you’re ready to change presentations – this lets you increase the usage of your existing lecture hall facilities.
  • Capital and Operational Cost Savings – As a result of these rotating stages giving you greater usage of existing lecture halls, it reduces your need for further capital investment in buildings by eliminating the need for duplicative lecture hall space and/or additional support facilities – in addition, your cooling, heating and maintenance expenses are reduced by eliminating this duplicative lecture hall space.
  • Size is Customizable to Meet Specific Needs of School – We will work with your architect throughout the process and can quickly adapt the size and shape of the stage turntable to ensure that their architectural goals for your facility are met, while at the same time helping you meet your space and cost savings goals.
  • Long-Term Reliability – Macton turntables have been in service for decades and move smoothly and quietly day in and day out for years – in fact, to our knowledge, none of these systems has ever failed to operate within the specified design criteria where proper minimal maintenance was performed.
  • Minimal Maintenance Required – These systems require only a minimal amount of routine maintenance each year, which can be scheduled for times when the facility is not normally in operation – as a result, this minimal annual maintenance does not entail operational disruptions or expensive downtime for the servicing of this equipment.
  • Full Support of Architect Throughout Project – Macton provides full support throughout the entire project, beginning with the initial design of the system to be built, during which time Macton’s engineering staff interfaces with the project’s architects to provide the practical assistance and the detailed technical support needed to integrate its equipment into the overall installation. This support includes providing foundational, electrical, plumbing and control requirements, trim details, data for structural analysis and any other assistance the project requires.
  • Ease of Equipment Installation – Macton provides a specially-trained field engineer or technician to supervise the installation, start-up and commissioning of its equipment, ensuring that it is brought on-line quickly and delivers the expected performance.
  • Ongoing Post-Sale Support – Macton also provides long-term spare parts and technical support services. Long-term service contracts are also available at each of these installations for periodic inspection and maintenance programs, as well as training services, as needed. In addition, Macton provides customers with the ability to easily upgrade their control panels, drives and other systems to ensure they reflect the latest in technology.
