Macton has six decades of experience in producing revolving stages for theaters and concert venues, including moveable revolving stages. Scalable from the largest high-volume theater to community churches, Macton supports applications anywhere that the attention needs to be on the stage; not worrying about what is supporting it. The combination of six decades of proven technology and a constant effort to provide innovative and cost-effective installations makes Macton stage structures ideal for theaters, concert halls, churches, civic centers and multi-use community halls.
- Revolving Stages – Macton revolving stages are well known for their unfailing reliability and silent efficiency. These revolving stages can be made to be either permanently set in one position or on moveable wagons to provide positioning flexibility. Macton installations in the area of theaters and concert venues include the revolving stages of New York's Metropolitan Opera House, Jones Beach Marine Stadium (which has been in continuous use for over 40 years) and the classic stage turntable in Frank Lloyd Wright's Dallas Theatre. Other Macton turntable applications include revolving stages for television productions, revolving bandstands and exhibit and display turntables.
- Lifts and Wagons – Macton has provided theater equipment, including stage wagons and lifts, for locations such as the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, The Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, The Metropolitan Opera House in New York City and Tsim Sha Tsui Cultural Center in Hong Kong. Work has also included high school orchestra lifts. Call on Macton to support your project with a custom lift, stage wagon, moveable seating structure or other dynamic structures.
Key Benefits of Macton’s Stage Turntables, Lifts and Wagons
- Increased Usage of Facilities – These stages, lifts and other similar equipment provide more flexible use and greater utilization of the facility in question by allowing for quick changes in how that particular space is used.
- Long-Term Reliability – Macton stages, lifts and other similar equipment have been in service for decades and move smoothly and quietly day in and day out for years.
- Minimal Maintenance Required – These systems require only a minimal amount of routine maintenance each year, which can be scheduled for times when the facility is not normally in operation – as a result, this minimal annual maintenance does not entail operational disruptions or expensive downtime for the servicing of this equipment.
- Full Support of Architect Throughout Project – Macton provides full support throughout the entire project, beginning with the initial design of the system to be built, during which time Macton’s engineering staff interfaces with the project’s architects to provide the practical assistance and the detailed technical support needed to integrate its equipment into the overall installation. This support includes providing foundational, electrical, plumbing and control requirements, trim details, data for structural analysis and any other assistance the project requires.
- Ease of Equipment Installation – Macton provides a specially-trained field engineer or technician to supervise the installation, start-up and commissioning of its equipment, ensuring that it is brought on-line quickly and delivers the expected performance.
- Ongoing Post-Sale Support – Macton also provides long-term spare parts and technical support services. Long-term service contracts are also available at each of these installations for periodic inspection and maintenance programs, as well as training services, as needed. In addition, Macton provides customers with the ability to easily upgrade their control panels, drives and other systems to ensure they reflect the latest in technology.
