Truck Removal

Macton offers a complete line of equipment to facilitate truck assembly maintenance and repair in the work shop. Macton car hoist systems may be used to remove a truck assembly from the railcar. The railcar is raised on the hoist, the car body is then supported by body stands or body hoists so that the truck may be disconnected and lowered to the shop rail. The truck may then be pushed to a truck turntable and rotated so that it can be transferred to a cross track and moved to the truck repair facility. When repaired, the truck may be returned to the car hoist and raised up to be re-attached to the railcar.

Macton offers a complete line of equipment to facilitate truck assembly maintenance and repair in the work shop. In the truck repair facility, the truck may be lifted on a truck repair hoist to provide safe access to the underside of the truck for shop personnel.

Shop Maintenance

The goal of any railcar workshop is to perform vehicle maintenance and repair efficiently and return the vehicle to working service. Macton rail shop equipment is designed and manufactured to allow customers to achieve this goal while maintaining a safe work environment for personnel. Macton hoisting equipment allows personnel to perform work on rail vehicles and truck assemblies that are elevated to a safe and convenient height above the shop floor while turntables and other positioning equipment provide an efficient means to move railcars and trucks through the facility.

Freight Railroads

Macton offers a wide range of products to support locomotive maintenance and repair. Our drop tables may be used to remove either full locomotive truck assemblies or single axles and transfer them to a service track. Locomotive turntables allow locomotives to be turned around and moved through the yard quickly while conserving limited yard space. Macton sanding systems provide a clean and efficient method for filling the locomotive sand box. Portable jacks may be used to lift a locomotive for maintenance and inspection.
