Macton Train Hoist at Honolulu Authority Rapid Transit

Check out the Photo of the Week from Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation!  "In the photo of the week, one of HART's four-car trains is propped up by a Macton Train Hoist.  This is no small task considering, each rail car is 65-feet long and weighs 72,000 pounds!  Doing the math, that means each train is 260-feet long, tipping the scales at a whopping 288,000 pounds or 144 tons...that is a heavy-duty hoist!"
